Soapy Sam

New Diorama Theatre, 15 Triton Street, London

Using puppetry, physical theatre and British Sign Language, Handprint theatre tells the story of Soapy Sam, a naughty little boy who took bathtime too far...

If he wasn't making a mess by blocking up the plughole, Soapy Sam was hiding from his mum... anything to avoid soap behind his ears. At one particular bath time, Sam did something he had never done before - he pulled the plug! As the water swirled down the pipes, Sam soon realised he was sliding too, down into a far away land, deep under the surface. There, Sam must meet new friends and battle bathtime baddies to help unblock the path that leads them all back home.

Handprint theatre specialises in creating theatre which is accessible to both deaf and hearing audiences.

Soapy Sam plays as part of the Camden Fringe 2010.
