Luise Miller

Donmar Warehouse, Earlham Street, London

Blood of ancient nobility and son of the most powerful statesman in the land, Ferdinand is willing to forsake his fortune for the love of Luise Miller, daughter of a humble musician. But in a world governed by deception and greed, where power is everything, their future happiness and liberty are beyond their control.

Luise Miller is a masterpiece of power and politics which explores the battle between honour and corruption, truth and betrayal.

Luise Miller is written by 18th century German playwright Schiller, whose other works include The Robbers, Wallenstein's Death, William Tell, Don Carlos and Mary Stuart.

Michael Grandage, who directs this production of Luise Miller, is no stranger to the playwright's work, having had huge success with productions of Don Carlos and Mary Stuart.

Rising star Felicity Jones, who leads the cast of Luise Miller, has starred in films including Chalet Girl, Cemetery Junction and Brideshead Revisited.
