Bingo
Patrick Stewart plays an aging William Shakespeare who, like King Lear, must decide what to do with his money and his power.

Bingo finds the world’s greatest playwright William Shakespeare with the glory years of London behind him and an overwhelming moral dilemma looming large. Like his greatest creation King Lear, he has to decide: what shall he do with his money and his power?
In Edward Bond’s Bingo, William Shakespeare is played by Olivier Award-winner Patrick Stewart, whose recent acclaimed performances include Macbeth, Waiting For Godot, Hamlet and The Tempest. The knighted actor is also well known for his screen work, which includes the X-Men films and cult sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
