Wild Swans

Young Vic, The Cut, London

This production of Wild Swans is the first stage adaptation of Jung Chang’s multi-million selling tale of one fiercely courageous family living through a time of great change in China.

Wild Swans is set in China at the heart of the 20th century. Through the eyes of one family, the story journeys from the early days of Communist hope and struggle, through the chaos and confusion of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, to the birth of a superpower.

Wild Swans is the best-selling non-fiction book in British publishing history and has sold more than 10 million copies in 30 languages worldwide.

Staged as a co-production between the Young Vic, American Repertory Theater and Actors Touring Company, Wild Swans is playing as part of World Stages London.
