Direct from sell out seasons in Paris, Flamenco Flamen'ka is a new flamenco show telling the story of a passionate love triangle. Jealousy, betrayal, hate and sacrifice put blood-ties to the test.

Based on the short stories of Argentine writer Jose Luis Borges, new dance show Flamenco Flamen’ka tells the story of two brothers who fall in love with the same woman. Unable to decide which one should pursue the girl, they decide their only course of action is to kill her. The tragic tale of Juliana, the object of their affections, is told using flashbacks.

Flamenco Flamen’ka tells its passionate story using flamenco, tango and contemporary ballet. Bruno Ribera, who has worked with Julia Migenes, Lambert Wilson, Michel Sardou and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, provides the fiery flamenco score.

The company includes some of the world’s most inspirational flamenco and Latin dancers. Karen Ruimy, the narrator, who originally devised the show, is the lead dancer/singer in an international company of dancers and musicians. She trained in Seville with Blanca and Adrian Ruiz.

Flamenco Flamen’ka, which blends the traditional with the cutting edge, is directed by Strictly Come Dancing’s Mr Nasty, Craig Revel Horwood. When he is not criticising celebrities for their lack of rhythm, Revel Horwood is a choreographer and director whose West End credits include Spend Spend Spend, My One And Only, Tommy Cooper – Jus’ Like That and Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks.
