My Darling Clemmie is the story of the beautiful and sometimes formidable Clementine Hozier - wife of Winston Churchill. Having survived a turbulent childhood and coped with endless battling parents, she met and married the man often called the Greatest Briton of All Time. She supported him throughout his politcal and literary life, during the crisis years of two World Wars, and shared his ambitions, his enthusiasms, his victories and defeats. Both had fiery temperaments and their marriage which lasted more than half a century, was often fraught with difficulties. It is nevertheless one of the greatest love stories of our time.
