Former Pop Idol finalist Zoe Birkett and Hairspray’s Kate Gillespie have been cast in forthcoming show Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical, which opens at the Palace theatre on 23 March (previews from 10 March).
As Disney’s The Lion King prowls into its 10th year in the West End’s theatrical jungle, it is marking the occasion with special appearances on the Royal Variety Performance and Radio’s 2 Friday Night Is Music Night, making musical theatre history in the process.
