Merlin will align his powers with Ron Weasley when Colin Morgan, star of the BBC's Arthurian adventure joins Harry Potter's Rupert Grint in Mojo this winter.

Morgan, who has spent this summer performing as Ariel in The Tempest at Shakespeare's Globe, along with Tom Rhys Harries has been unveiled as the final piece of a cast that also includes The Hours' Ben Whishaw, Mrs Biggs' Daniel Mays and Downton Abbey's Brendan Coyle.

Written by Jez Butterworth, who also wrote West End hit Jerusalem, Mojo, which will begin its run at the Harold Pinter theatre in October, delves into the sleazy underworld and power games of 1950s Soho.

Morgan brings an impressive theatrical CV to the cast, having won acclaim in productions including All About My Mother (Old Vic) and Vernon God Little (Young Vic). Mays too boasts an impressive back catalogue of stage work that includes Scarborough, Motortown and The Winterling at the Royal Court, while Coyle won an Olivier Award for his performance in the Royal Court production of The Weir. Whishaw, also well known as Bond's latest Q, last appeared on stage in Peter And Alice, and Harries' credits include the Menier Chocolate Factory's Torch Song Trilogy, but Grint, so well known as Harry Potter's best friend in the hit series of films, makes his professional stage debut with the production.

Mojo opens at the Harold Pinter following the venue's current acclaimed production, Chimerica, which has recreated the incredible success it first found at the Almeida theatre since transferring to the West End earlier this summer.
