Asprey has become the first official jewellery partner of the Olivier Awards with MasterCard, the awards for which actors including Judi Dench, Mark Rylance, Benedict Cumberbatch and Nicole Kidman have been nominated.
The partnership marks the union of two institutions that reflect a distinguished British heritage, with the hugely prestigious Olivier Awards celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2016 and Asprey being one of the UK’s most iconic brands.
Commenting on the news, Julian Bird, Chief Executive of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), which runs both the Olivier Awards and this website, said: “The Olivier Awards warmly welcome Asprey as the first ever jewellery partner in our 40th anniversary year. Asprey’s heritage and world-renowned quality matches the awards’ global reach very well.”
As part of the partnership and to celebrate the award’s milestone anniversary, SOLT and Asprey will co-host an exclusive afternoon tea event at its flagship Mayfair store on 31 March for a selection of the star talented set to present at the awards.
There will also be stunning pictures released after the Olivier Awards with MasterCard ceremony, as the winners and presenters are photographed backstage in the specially created Asprey portrait gallery in association with Vanity Fair.
The ceremony will take place on 3 April at the Royal Opera House. Set to be an incredible night packed with exclusive performances and very special guests to be announced in the coming weeks, theatre fans can make sure they don’t miss a thing by listening live on Mellow Magic or watching a live stream of events at the Covent Garden Piazza ITV Stage. Highlights from the ceremony will also be shown on ITV1 shortly after the event finishes.
