Casting has been announced for Vivienne Franzmann's new trafficking drama, Bodies, which premieres in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs.

The cast are Lorna Brown (recent credits including Oresteia, Almeida/West End) as Oni, Brian Ferguson (Oil, Almeida) as Josh, Philip Goldacre (Broken Glass, National/West End/UK tour) as David, Salma Hoque (East Is East, UK tour) as Lakshmi, Justine Mitchell (The Resistible Rise Of Arturo Ui, Donmar) as Clem and Hannah Rae (television's Broadchurch) as Daughter.

The premise of the play surrounds a global transaction that, over nine months, promises to offer ‘a lifetime of happiness’ to all involved.

Purchased from Russia. Developed in India. Delivered to the UK. But what - or who?

Following the success of Pests, Vivienne writes again for the Royal Court Theatre with the new play. Directed by Jude Christian, with design by Gabriella Slade, Bodies will run in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs from Wednesday 05 July 2017 – Saturday 12 August 2017, with press night on Tuesday 11 July, 7pm.

You can book your tickets through the venue's website.
