The UK premiere of romantic musical Death Takes A Holiday, from the Tony Award-winning team behind Titanic, is directed at the Charing Cross Theatre by Thom Southerland.

Amidst the aftermath of the First World War, in a scarred area of Northern Italy, Death manifests itself in the form of a handsome young prince.

Desperate to understand why he is so feared with respect to the value of life, he unexpectedly falls for a newly engaged young woman. Is love in fact stronger than death?

A soaring story of the preciousness of life and the overwhelming natural power of love, the show features a book by Thomas Meehan and Peter Stone, and is based on the 1928 Italian play of the same name.
