London Coliseum, St Martin's Lane, London, United Kingdom, WC2N 4ES

A tragic story of envy, vengeance and sacrifice, Rigoletto sees one of Verdi’s most popular operas relocated to New York’s ‘Mafia’ Little Italy in the 1950s.

Reviving Jonathan Miller’s much-loved interpretation of the story, Rigoletto follows the eponymous character with a sharp tongue and no shortage of wit.

But when his wisecracks spark a poisonous vendetta, and his daughter is seduced by the dissolute Duke, Rigoletto sets out for revenge - will he have the last laugh?

With some of opera’s most immediately recognisable music including ‘Women abandon us’, Verdi’s thrilling score is conducted by Sir Richard Armstrong.
