tkts is celebrating 30 years of bringing half price theatre tickets to London’s Theatreland. We’ve sold nearly 11 million tickets to more than 1 200 shows – so there’s not much we don’t know about the West End.
On 10 August tkts Leicester Square will be giving one discounted theatre ticket to the first thirty people in the queue at 10:00, for a show of their choice, absolutely free!*
If you can’t make it in time for the booth opening, don’t worry - we’ll also be handing out tkts scratchards on 10 and 11 August for the chance to win some great theatrical prizes.
We hope to see you there! *Tickets subject to availability.
tkts Leicester Square is the original and only official half price ticket booth run by the Society of London Theatre. Originally founded in 1980 as The Half Price Ticket booth, tkts is located at the centre of Leicester Square in the Clocktower building and provides a one-stop ticket shop for the West End. It is easy to find as it is the only free-standing building actually within the Square, rather than around the edge. The nearest Underground stations are Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
What's On Sale:
Hundreds of half price and discount theatre tickets are available on the day of performance and up to a week in advance.
Check out what's on sale today.
Tickets can only be bought in person.
Opening hours:
Beware the many imitators around the Square! tkts is run by the Society of London Theatre, the trade association that represents London theatre. Other outlets that promise cheap London theatre tickets are not the official outlets of SOLT and their sales and business practices are not regulated by the Society. Make sure you go to the tkts building to purchase your tickets.
tkts Leicester Square does not accept payment by bank or travellers cheques.
A service charge of £3 is applied to tickets (excluding full price tickets)
Nearest Underground Stations: Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
If you are coming from Leicester Square Underground Station: exit for the Square onto Charing Cross Road and turn right into Cranbourn Street. This pedestrianised street will lead you on to the North East side of the Square.
If you are approaching from Piccadilly Circus: take Coventry Street, passing the Trocadero Centre on your left. Continue along it, crossing over Whitcomb Street, until you arrive at Leicester Square, on the North West side.
Positioned on the South side of the gardens you will see a freestanding building with a clock on its roof. This is Tkts. You will recognise it from the electronic display and the tkts logo.
